Well, hopefully this will be the first of many posts pertaining to our company. First, though, a few introductions:
US- We are Rushin Teens, and apparel company based out of Seattle. We were birthed in 2006 by designer and all around head-honcho Paul Hogan when he grew tired of the current crop of designer t-shirts. Too many of them were poorly designed, poorly produced and too often packed with oh-aren't-we-so-hilarious ironic jokes. On the flip side, so many of the well designed shirts were selling in boutiques for exorbitant amounts of money. So, in an effort to bridge that gap he began to design shirts that looked good and that could be sold at low prices. We want to dress you well, not bankrupt you. We want the shirts to be designed, not just screen prints of existing images that we had no part in creating. This kind of original design is what often drives the prices up, people think they deserve it because they can draw kinda pretty good. Not us, we're sharers, and we want us all over you.
As times change, so do places people live. In 2007 Paul moved from LA to Seattle, and soon after his brother did as well. So now, we are ready to fully present you with everything we have to offer. Our goals are big, and our prices low, so come and get in on this.
ME- I, your blogger (ack), am John Hogan. I'm the younger, design-inept brother of Paul. Since Paul has a life to lead and I don't, I've begun taking over for a lot of the leg work for Rushin Teens. This means I'm the guy you want to talk to. Paul's busy designing, so I'm your people person. Before I joined my brother here in Seattle, I lived in Cincinnati, garnering rave reviews from all who knew me...about me. Later on down the road I'll introduce you to the rest of peoples. But for the purposes of moving on today, we'll save that for another time. The head guy and the guy writing should be enough for all y'all for now.
So, what's the purpose here. To be honest, I haven't decided yet. Right now my plan is to use this space for a few different purposes. I'll just list these off so I don't go way off topic as I normally do:
1. The most important purpose of the blog is keep you up to date with Rushin Teens. This means I'll post anything and everything having to do with us. New products, any press, and any news on where we'll be and what we'll be doing can be found here. Right now we have a laundry list of things to do before a Grand Relaunchening, and I won't bore you with all the details, but I can promise we're going to really beef up our stature in the coming months. During those months I'll probably mostly be updating on our Relaunchening process. After that, all the hotness you expect from us.
2. We are a pretty cultured group of individuals, and we also like to talk about pop culture, so there will most likely be a lot of that. I'd love to get some mixes up too. We won't claim to be good DJ's, but we enjoy doing it and don't really care if they're imperfect, if even actually mixed at all. What we do have is impeccable, complex and expansive musical tastes. So be on the look out for that. Hopefully, we can bounce around from staff member to staff member to post up some bootleg joints of what's floating our boats lately.
3. Whatever the hell else I want to talk about. Friends, competition, events of interest, why you should be buying more stuff, or even question for you, our lovely customers. It will all be up for inclusion. Some of this may not actually happen considering the fact that my planning sometimes gets ahead of me, but I'm going to work to make it all work.
So be on the look out for us. We're going to be revamping the site (don't worry, you'll still be able to buy) and also be putting out some new shirts and styles t coincide with the bigger, beefier relaunch.
Alright, I'm going to wrap up, this has gone on way too long. So I'll be checking in every so often, so you check in too. Keep an eye out for our name, you'll be seeing it more and more.
